Sussex County Cricket Club

Sussex County Cricket Club - The SharksSussex County Cricket Club is excited to be associated with the Brighton and Hove Business Lunch Club, it gives us the opportunity to network with likeminded people, and to showcase what fantastic business opportunities Cricket can offer.   Sussex County Cricket Club is truly unique; it is the oldest first class Club in the world and one of the most successful. Sussex won its first-ever official County Championship title in 2003 after a wait of more than 100 years, and subsequently became the dominant team of the decade, repeating the success in 2006 and 2007.

In 2006 Sussex achieved "the double", beating Lancashire CCC to clinch the Natwest Trophy, before winning the County Championship following an emphatic victory against Nottinghamshire CCC, in which Sussex outplayed their hosts by an innings and 245 runs. Sussex then won the title for the third time in five years in 2007.And 2008 was another trophy winning year at Sussex  with a last ball win over Nottinghamshire  to clinch the Pro 40 trophy, but not to be out done the Sussex Ladies picked up the County Championship title.

On the recreational side our Building Partnerships agenda is taking shape and we are leading the way with our Community project….. With ambitious plans to re-develop the Ground at Hove in order to support continued success on the pitch, there has never been a more exciting time to join the team.
