About Our Club

In the summer of 2007, Tim Cobb approached three senior business colleagues with an idea for a new networking club.

Sole traders would be excluded and accountants, bankers and solicitors would be limited to just two per sector.

Instead, the club would welcome only the bosses of companies with a turnover of £2 million+ or who employ at least 10 staff.

Tim wanted a club with a social conscience. He wanted to give a platform to community groups and charities, and hold collections at each meeting.

He received the support of Nik Askaroff of EMC Ltd, Rob Clare of RBS and Simon Dodds of Mayo Wynne Baxter.

The club had its official launch in January 2008 and within seven months had welcomed its 50th member. Rob and Simon have moved onto pastures new, but Tim and Nik continue to drive the club forward. They are assisted by Janet Kemp, whose organisational skills and sheer hard work make it all happen.

We meet once a month and we vary the venues to try out new and exciting places to share good food and excellent company.   

Wherever you sit, you will be surrounded by decision-makers, influencers and highly successful business people all happy to share their knowledge and expertise.

But just as importantly, we always have time for fun.
